Pretty Boy Floyd – Kiss Of Death – Deadline

As good as Pretty Boy Floyd was in 1989 is as bad as they are now. Leather Boyz was a great debut and that’s about where it ended for them with nothing but some hodge podge and half ass releases to show for the last 26 years of their existence. So here we are in 2015 and all they have in the shoot is a tribute to KISS because really nobody has done one of those, ever.. Now I am a fan of KISS up to a point and where their talent was was with power and delivery and this album has none of that, at all. Imagine Steve Summers’ high pitched scratchy voice singing I Love It Loud, Love Gun or Black Diamond, yeah you don’t want to do you? I listened to this, still wish I hadn’t. This band had a place in time and this time isn’t it and doing something like KISS is not their forte. Also good job on updating your photos for the cover and inlay card, nice holdover from 1989. Guess you couldn’t afford a new photoshoot either. If you want to listen to KISS, listen to KISS, not some half ass glam holdover that tried to shoot well beyond their ability.
