Ministry – Last Tangle In Paris – UDR

By Jeffrey Easton

Ministry are the stalwarts of the industrial nation and they have stood the test of time to be that band point to as the masters.  Last Tangle In Paris represents the best of what they can live and how much their sound can be mind numbing. The DVD see’s Al and his sick band of weirdoes doing what they do best, performing live and ripping a new one into the vast Ministry catalog.  Aiming for the heart of the fan base they dig into Psalm 69, Just One Fix, New World Order, No “W”, 99%ers as well as Relapse and The Last Sucker.  Al may be getting older but he has not lost that angry evil edge that has endured with him through his career and he conveys that loudly here.  Along with the stunningly shot DVD it features two more discs of rare live material with past line ups as well. Spanning from 2006 and 2008, these potent machine gun line ups featured the likes of Sin Quirin, Tony Campos, Tommy Victor, Joey Jordison and Burton Bell amongst others. The set lists reflect touring for Rio Grande Blood and The Last Sucker and live these songs become fiercer. Al always put the best bands together and here it is of no exception.  If you have never experienced Ministry live then WTF is wrong with you?  Pick this up and see and hear what you have been missing.
