Crossfaith – Zion – The End Records

Crossfaith have released the most important EP of the year with Zion. Haven’t heard of Crossfaith yet? Well, you will now with their distribution in the hands of The End records and with the caliber of material coming off of this EP. Making their debut in the U.S., Crossfaith embraces the darkest corners of metalcore along with searing electronics to juice their already amped up music taking it to dangerous levels. Six tracks grace Zion, from the mind numbing riff driven Leviathan to the evil keyboard soaked Photosphere. Taking yet another turn in embracing electronics, Zion features an instrumental break from the searing metal with a dub step original in the form of Dialogue. This song makes the dance floor a dangerous place to be now, permanently. Quasar, the angriest sounding track to be issued by any band this year, marries perfectly throat cutting riffs with amped up dub step trills with Koie Kenta’s near inhuman vocals. Want something different since nothing new is moving you? Crossfaith is just that band to push you over the edge.
