NameSake – Borders & Fences – Imagen

By Jeffrey Easton

Rock was meant to be an escape and medium to get off on and NameSake is all over that.  Their debut, Boarders & Fences, is a massive release that does not conform to your run of the mill expectations for bands.  NameSake is a band from Atlanta, GA that combines the best elements of pop punk, electronics and hard rock with a brilliant fresh outlook for a stale music scene.  They blow out of the disc with the hit in making lead track Saturday, a hyper, explosive track that deems them for stardom.  Will Crafton’s vox are hard hitting against Brad and Troy’s guitars while blending the catchiness of a well written pop rock song.  The first single to drop was Worlds Away and with its massive bass line pumping your speakers to the max and the vox soaring through the chorus you can understand why it was chosen.   The next single Should be Here I Am, a sickingly good ode to the love lorn that will have you belting it by the second chorus.  Out of the 11 tracks, there is not a minute of filler.  The Movement, Times Of Our Lives as well as the massive title track will have you begging for more.  Imagen took the right chance on them and now they will be your fav new band.
