Gary Moore - Live At Montreux 2010

Gary Moore – Live AT Montreux2010 – Eagle

By Jeffrey Easton

Gary, how we miss you already! One of the best, but most underrated guitarists stretching back to the 1960’s, Gary took hard rock and blues to new levels in the years that he slung that Les Paul around his neck.   Putting a final and uplifting tome on his career, the Live AT Montreux series  has released his 2010 show has a stunningly well put together CD.  His set list covers his career very well with incredible tracks like Over The Hills And Far Away, Walking By Myself, Out In The Fields, Days Of Heroes as well as Parisienne Walkways and Military Man.  Gary played the guitar like his life depended on it and it showed through his compositions whether he was playing blues or full throttle rock n roll.  Rock is just amped up blues anyway so his conversions were always seamless. The Montreux series is always a first class CD and DVD set and with Gary’s release it has upped the anti as the sound and projection of Gary’s guitar and band is phenomenal.  If you miss Gary and his musical ability like I do, celebrate his life with this final live blast, Live At Montreux 2010!!
