Anthrax - Worship Music - Megaforce
Anthrax – Worship Music – Megaforce
By Jeffrey Easton
Revel in the glory of thrash for Anthrax are completely back. It has been too long but the powers that be have put aside the differences and forgot the last 20 years existed and put out the motherfucker of all thrash records in Worship Music. Us music fiends, that’s what we do is worship music, right? Anthrax have a massive pulpit unto which to preach from with Worship Music so let the bashing begin.. The album crashes into your speakers with Earth On Hell and its 1988 again, holy hell this band has not lost it. The X factor all along was Joey Belladonna and with him back at the helm it’s the old way once again. No sidetracking, no experimenting, no bullshit, just straight up metal. The mad thrash continues with The Devil You Know, the future pit anthem in Fight Em Till You Cant as well as Judas priest and Revolution Screams. This record does not let up, every song a future Thrax classic, zero filler. The band is firing on all cylinders with a four barrel Holley on top, massive thrash, period. Did you miss Joey throughout the 90s and 2000’s? I did and I bet you did too. I liked Sound Of White Noise but it sounded more like the follow up to Symbol Of Salvation, not Persistence Of Time but now we have the real Thrax so raise those horned hands and get in the pit.
