By Wesley Stewart and Sterling Collins
The "Metal Gods", Judas Priest, were at the Renaissance Hotel in Hollywood California today May 24th at 1PM for their 2011 Epitaph Tour Kick off Press Conferance. This Band is Legendary with their music and SM/Biker/Metal/Leather Fashion look and sound. 50 Million Records sold and rated by MTV as the second Greatest Metal Band of all time (next to #1 Black Sabbath).
The Band as you see them in the Pics from left to right are Glen Tipton ,Richie Faulkner,Rob Halford, Ian Hill and Scott Travis. The band looks great and are excited about going back on the road for 2011. Rob informs us that on this Tour they want Quality , Looks and Great Performances. The first leg of the tour starts on October 12th in San Antonio Tx. and will be here in California starting on October 19th. The Confirmed support acts are Thin Lizzy and Black Label Society.
Judas Priest was formed in 1968 and still lives on here in 2011.The whole band assured us they will carry on in the future as they love to play live on stage and make music. Most of the band members are well over 50 but they still have the passion and desire to play live and rock on into infinity and beyond.
The band has 10 new songs written and will be performing some of them as they tour. The new album possibly will be released in 2012. Ths is their last World Tour but they will still play special gigs as they are not ready to throw the towel in on performing. The new guitarist Richie plays and fits like a glove in the band as told by Glen.
There will be a few new releases from the mighty Priest catalog this year that they are excited about as well..
