_ Steel Panther – British Invasion - Guitar Anarchy

By Jeffrey Easton

Steel Panther have brought back the feel of 80’s metal in a big way and this DVD is proof positive.  The British Invasion Blu Ray DVD has the big show, the even bigger songs and the even Bigger hair with the attitude to spare.  This is glam metal at its best, no holds barred, sleazy, not a care in the world and bigger than life.  They mixed the dirty glam with their hysterical one liners that kept the show enthralling from the first note to the last.  Dealing tracks like Party All Day, Stripper Girl, We Want Pussy and Asian Hooker you know what you are getting, this ain’t Rush or Queensryche, this is a true party and everybody is invited. Michael Starr is the consummate front man and the interaction with Satchel, Stix and Lexxi is priceless as the hilarity rarely stops.  Also kudos to them for bringing out the local strippers before performing Stripper Girl in which of course they did their act to.  There is also a bonus documentary on them that is in the vein of Spinal Tap which is worth watching more than once. With two records out now and now a classic DVD in the form of British Invasion, they have cemented themselves as the real deal and they are here to stay. Glam has a new poster child, Steel Panther.
