Staind – Live From Mohegan Sun – Eagle Vision Blu Ray

By Jeffrey Easton

The live show is where you get the emotion out, whether you are the band or the fan, it’s a cathartic release.  If you’re the band, namely Staind, it’s a chance to get the morose feelings that you have out and conveyed in real time, not just in a studio where there is zero response.  With Aaron Lewis, that’s important, he needs that release and he demands the response, the energy from the crowd to validate his message.  The band were on fire for this show with the lighting being low key, just illuminating the dominance that was being delivered on stage.  The set list was  exactly what the fans wanted with the key tracks Something To Remind You, It’s Been Awhile, Fade, Outside and Throw It All Away along with the darkened Crawl and Failing.  When you witness them live you leave with a feeling of cleansing, like your issues melted away with theirs as the show unfolded and you almost feel the same with this DVD.  Blu Ray delivers stunning quality and it really take you there, especially with a huge TV and a muscled sound system.  Rock fans, this is the DVD you need in your collection, its dark, heavy, the timing is perfect and the songs have never sounded better.
