ALESANA SIGN TO ARTERY RECORDINGS FOR EP RELEASE  THE DECADE EP OUT APRIL 1, 2014

BAND EMBARKING ON "THE DECADE TOUR" IN MARCH WITH GET SCARED, HEARTS + HANDS, FAREWELL MY LOVE  + MEGOSH

Alesana
, who are celebrating 10 years as a unit, are starting off 2014 with a major bang, revealing two key pieces of exciting news and a major tour on the horizon.

The band has signed on with Artery Recordings to release The Decade EP on April 1, 2014.

Alesana will also embark on "The Decade Tour," which will canvas the U.S. from March 7 through April 6, hitting SxSW, South by So What and Never Say Never Festival.

For this not-to-be-missed tour, presented by Artery and Revival Recordings, Alesana will be joined by Get Scared, Hearts & Hands, Farewell My Love and Megosh. The bands will be laying waste to venues, one song and one gig at a time.

While some bands barely make it to five years, much less 10, Alesana are still going strong a decade deep into their career. With a new label and a renewed energy, the band is ready for a high-impact 2014.

Frontman Shawn Milke checked in about the flurry of exciting activity and momentum surrounding Alesana, explaining the impetus for The Decade EP and sharing a few hints about what's in store for the future, namely regarding the band's trilogy.

"Hello everyone! As many of you know we are planning on completing our trilogy very soon, but until then, we figured why wait to put out new music? We are proud to announce that we will be releasing an EP through our good friends at Artery Recordings entitled The Decade EP. In honor of Alesana having been a band for 10 years, we decided it was time to take a small break from our storytelling and write some songs about us and our experiences together as a band for the last decade: the good, the bad, the ugly, and the insane. For those of you curious about Annabel, have no fear, she will be back. But for now, let's just crank some good old fashioned rock and f---ing roll! "

Leave it to Alesana bring the good, old-fashion rock and f---king roll and to deliver an EP that encapsulates the past 10 years of existence.

ABOUT ALESNA: Alesana have been making a glorious rock 'n' roll racket for 10 years, forming in 2004. During that time, they have released an EP and four full-length studio records, all to critical acclaim and while building up a fanbase that is disciple-like in its devotion. Alesana are leading the post-metalcore charge into the future, thanks to their ability to blend the visceral with the vulnerable, mixing melody with metallic maelstrom. Through the past decade, they've made several appearances on Warped Tour and have sold over 200,000 records. Despite their impressive career thus far, Alesana maintain laser-like focus on the future. Newly signed to Artery Recordings with The Decade EP on the horizon, Alesana's best days remain ahead of them.
