FESTIVAL TAKES PLACE SEPTEMBER 13 & 14 AT SACRAMENTO’S DISCOVERY PARK




Atreyu, Tech N9ne, Escape The Fate and Islander have joined the lineup for the third annual Monster Energy’s AFTERSHOCK Festival September 13 & 14, 2014 at Discovery Park near downtown Sacramento.

This year’s festival will be bigger than ever with a massive lineup including Godsmack, Weezer, The Offspring, Rob Zombie, Five Finger Death Punch (back by popular demand), Limp Bizkit, Rise Against, Chevelle, AWOLNATION, Seether, Mastodon, Pennywise, Bad Religion and many more.

Monster Energy’s AFTERSHOCK marks the first show for Atreyu in more than three years and the band is excited to be playing their first show back in their home state of California.

Brandon Saller of Atreyu says, “We are thrilled to be playing AFTERSHOCK this year. As our first major performance in years, I think the rowdy California festival crowd will be a great welcome back. We're looking forward to tearing that motherfucker down.”

Atreyu’s Alex Varkatzas adds, “To say we are looking forward to playing this year’s AFTERSHOCK Festival is an understatement. It's been 3+ years since we have rocked the stage as brothers, and to be playing with all these high caliber bands, in the state that we call home, is truly awesome.”

Discovery Park is a 160-acre park conveniently located near downtown Sacramento, where the American and Sacramento Rivers meet. The Discovery Park boat launch allows boaters access to both the American and Sacramento Rivers, and the park features bike trails, picnic areas, and a playground. Discovery Park is located beside I-5 near downtown Sacramento. From I-5, take the Richards Blvd. off-ramp, then go west to get to the south entrance of the park, or follow the Garden Highway exit east from I-5 to find the north entrance.
