AEROSMITH  DECLARES “LET ROCK RULE”

NORTH AMERICAN SUMMER TOUR WITH SPECIAL GUEST SLASH FEATURING MYLES KENNEDY AND THE CONSPIRATORS KICKS OFF JULY 10 IN NEW YORK

Tickets On Sale Beginning April 12 Through The Live Nation Mobile App and At LiveNation.com

Who better to declare “LET ROCK RULE” than AEROSMITH, America’s Greatest Rock Band?

Rock’s most lethal army--Steven Tyler, Joe Perry, Joey Kramer, Tom Hamilton, and Brad Whitford--and special guest SLASH featuring Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators will join forces for “LET ROCK RULE,” this summer’s definitive rock & roll experience.

Promoted exclusively by Live Nation, the LET ROCK RULE tour kicks off on Thursday, July 10 at Nikon at Jones Beach Theatre in Wantagh, NY (see full itinerary below).  AEROSMITH and SLASH--longtime friends who’ve performed together throughout the years--will also take over Boston, MA. (Xfinity Center), Los Angeles, CA (The Forum) and San Francisco, CA (Sleep Train Pavilion) among other cities, before wrapping Friday, September 12 in Sydney, NS, Canada (Open Hearth Park).

This summer’s hottest ticket will go on sale to the general public starting on Saturday, April 12 through the Live Nation mobile app and at www.livenation.com. The first round of tour dates are below with additional dates for a second leg to be announced shortly.

“Looking forward to inciting a riot and building the tribal bonfire even higher--it’s a win win with Slash,” said Steven Tyler.

Says Joe Perry: “The writing’s on the wall--Aerosmith and Slash.  We’re gonna let rock rule this summer.  Catch us if you can.”

Says Slash: “Aerosmith is one of my all time favorite bands, and one of the greatest rock ‘n roll bands of all time. It’s  an honor for me to go out & tour with them and  keep the rock ‘n roll banner flying high.”

The excitement all started when JOE PERRY took it to the streets with RISK, the famous graffiti artist, last Thursday night for “LET ROCK RULE” and things began ramping up mysteriously when the AEROSMITH logo, and the tour announcement date of 4.8.14, was bombed on various buildings in downtown Los Angeles by JOE PERRY and RISK. Following this, AEROSMITH drummer JOEY KRAMMER stepped up the momentum and went to Downtown Austin with street artist, CHUNK, to continue the “LET ROCK RULE” tagging. It was all first reported by TMZ--http://www.tmz.com/2014/04/04/joe-perry-grafitti-aerosmith-spray-paint-logo-tour/--and the “bombing” has continued every night.

JOE PERRY says, "I have always felt that AEROSMITH was Americas hometown band and what better way than to take matters into our own hands to spread the word.”

Earlier today (April 8) STEVEN TYLER and JOE PERRY revealed--on the Ryan Seacrest radio show--that they would perform a free set to announce the “LET ROCK RULE” tour. AEROSMITH, with a special guest appearance by SLASH, played a roof-raising set for the assembled crowd at the Whisky A Go Go, the historic Los Angeles venue where they performed their first LA gig in 1973.

AEROSMITH’s North American summer dates will follow the band’s overseas dates kicking off May 14 in Istanbul, Turkey and will hit 16 countries including stops in Russia, France, and the U.K. before wrapping July 2 in Kiev, Ukraine.

(Columbia), the band’s latest album, was released in late 2012. Proving that they can cross genre-boundaries with ease, these rock legends have even taken home a Soul Train Award for Best Rap Single for their remix of Run DMC’s “Walk This Way.”  With scores of multi-platinum albums, AEROSMITH continues to inspire generations to get their wings, get a grip and just push play. It is no wonder why they are one of the most beloved bands of all time.

About SLASH:
SLASH has amassed album sales of over 100 million copies, garnered a GRAMMY Award and seven GRAMMY nominations and was inducted into the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame. Time magazine named SLASH #2, behind Jimi Hendrix, on its “The Ten Best Electric Guitar Players of All-Time.” SLASH helped create signature sounds like the guitar riff on #1 hits for Guns N Roses “Sweet Child o’ Mine” and “Welcome To The Jungle.” After leaving the band, SLASH went on to critical acclaim with SLASH’s Snakepit and global success with the supergroup Velvet Revolver.  SLASH’s self-titled biography critically well-received, climbed the bestseller list in both the U.S. and U.K. hitting #8 on the NY Times Bestsellers list. SLASH landed on the top of the charts with his first solo album, Slash (2010) which featured Ozzy Osbourne, Fergie and more. SLASH and his band featuring Myles Kennedy and The Conspirators released the critically acclaimed Apocalyptic Love (2012) which stormed the Billboard Top 200 Albums Chart at #4 as the top rock debut and produced his first-ever #1 rock radio solo hits: “You’re A Lie” and “Standing In The Sun.” SLASH released Nothing Left To Fear (2013) the first-ever motion picture he co-produced from Slasher Films, his film/TV production company. SLASH and his band are currently in the studio with Myles Kennedy and The Conspirators at work on a new album set for release September 2014.  www.slashonline.com.
